In this Black History themed worksheet, students will practice factoring quadratic equations. Types of problems included are factoring trinomials (ax^2 + bx + c = 0), where a = 1, where a≠1, and factoring out the Greatest Common Factor first.
Students will be given a fact about an African American mathematician and a quadratic equation to factor. Once factored, they will match their answer to the correct mathematician.
TEKS A.10E: factor, if possible, trinomials with real factors in the form ax2 + bx + c, including perfect square trinomials of degree two.
